Each year, we give back to our beloved home of Monterey Park by representing our hālau at the Cherry Blossom Festival. This was also where we had our very first performance way back in 2007! Nerves ran high that first time, but we have enjoyed this hallmark event every year. Monterey Park no ka ʻoi…in California at least!

Kumu was out of town for this one, but we couldn’t skip out on Cherry Blossom! This was the first performance that Kumu handed over the reins to the alakaʻi to lead the entire show and they did a great job! Mahalo to Mambastic Photography for some of these images.
